APPLICATION
UL Fire Rated Floor/Ceiling assemblies and Roof/Ceiling assemblies require specially tested and classified ceiling dampers to provide fire and heat protection where HVAC components penetrates the ceiling membrane. Conventional fire dampers, which stop the spread of flame but Do Not stop heat, are unacceptable for protecting fire rated ceilings.
